B4A Team
Alexia Young is a native Texan, born and raised in Texarkana. She is an educator, author, creative arts director and motivational speaker.
Her purpose in life is to bring hope to brokenness through Christ’s love. She has been blessed with opportunities to speak at urban education conferences and workshops, and mentor youth and young adult women in Memphis, TN. Her work and service in Memphis led to Alexia being selected as a 2020 Memphis Business Journal 40 Under 40 honoree.
She also had the privilege of sharing her story of beauty from ashes, in reference to Isaiah 61:3, across the United States, Mexico and Kenya with the goal of empowering young ladies to know their identity and build confidence.
Alexia wrote her first book, Transformation of the Heart: When God Makes Beauty out of Ashes, an autobiographical and self-help book designed to bring hope to the broken. Born with a birth defect and a child of divorced parents, Alexia wants to share her journey of confronting insecurities and recognizing her God-bestowed beauty.
