B4A Mentorship

The B4A approach to mentoring is built on developing and nurturing creative expression. Creative arts can positively impact emotions, attitudes and beliefs — contributing to greater health and wellness for individuals.

Mentoring through the arts

We incorporate artistic interactivity into social relationships such as mentorships and support groups to improve mental and physical health. B4A believes the more support we have, the more resilient we are against depression.

Mentorship participants will have the opportunity to:

  • engage in visual arts, dance, expressive writing/drama or musicianship to process their feelings and relieve stress and anxiety

  • be part of an uplifting community that promotes self-care

“If I need a push, I know I can count on Alexia. She taught me how to be comfortable with being uncomfortable, how to break barriers and to not be ashamed to share my knowledge with the world! I am grateful that I had her as a mentor to help shape me into the leader I am today.”
